Exclusive insights into the technically demanding world of electric motor construction at Fischer

From the initial design draft to precision manufacturing and rigorous testing, each step of the process demonstrates the expertise and passion that goes into our motors for the FSE. See how our engineers develop high-performance motors that not only power races, but also enable innovation. Perfect for all technology enthusiasts and anyone who wants to know: what’s really under the bonnet?

Developed for maximum performance

  • Compact & powerful: High torque density with minimal installation space
  • Easy to install & customisable: Can be flexibly integrated into individual team designs
  • Proven in practice: Successfully in use at Formula Student since 2014

Our tried-and-tested Fischer electric motors are a first-class starting point for the Formula Student teams to successfully develop and realise individual high-speed concepts. They are developed in close co-operation with the teams and are specially tailored to the requirements of the competition. The focus is on maximum power density, compact design and efficient cooling – for reliable use on the race track.

Thanks to our modular system, the rotor and stator can be flexibly integrated into customised housings. Each kit is prepared ready for installation: including shrunk rotor, moulded windings, PT1000 temperature sensor and fully balanced rotor pack – ready for use in your drivetrain.

We provide a complete motor data package containing extensive information and documents, from the material data sheet to the STEP files to download.

Key technical data

Our motor kits combine compact design with impressive performance: they are designed for high torques with minimal weight and can also withstand demanding loads. The integrated temperature monitoring via PT1000 sensor ensures safety in the limit range, while the windings are tested up to 130 °C and designed for temperatures up to 180 °C. High-quality NdFeB magnets and a precisely balanced rotor guarantee stable, low-vibration performance – even at high speeds. For integration, we recommend aluminium for the housing and non-magnetic materials such as titanium for the shaft – so that everything runs smoothly, from the first installation to the finish line.

The engine kits from Fischer Elektromotoren are thoroughly thought-out complete solutions – with maximum clarity for design and integration.
